In the twenty-first century, the new world of technology offers the reader the ability to read their favorite books electronically.  These books can be read on your computer, phone, palm, iPod, e-reader, etc.  The future will only offer more choices.  So no matter where you are, you can read your favorite book.

e-Book definition:

An e-book, or electronic book, is a digital file designed for reading on a computer screen or a handheld electronic device.    

Formats:

A reader can choose from multiple formats that best fits their daily life.  Sapphire Blue Publishing readers have the following electronic format choices:

-     HTML (For use on computers, iPods, Kindle, Rocket Reader from eBookwise, Cybook)

-   .PRC  (For use on Cybook, PDA's or any device that uses Microsoft Reader)

-   .PDF (For use on Sony, Adobe, Cybook, ECTACO Jetbook or any device that uses Adobe Reader)

 

• HTML is a versatile format that can be read from your computer using your current browser. This format can also be used with any hardware that accepts html documents, such as ipods.
• Mobipocket (.prc) is a format that is designed specifically for PDAs such as a Palm or a Pocket PC.  You can download the Mobipocket Reader for free at mobipocket.com.
• Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) software is a free program for your computer or PDA you can download from adobe.com.
